As a one-liner, I translate that as “Let’s go to a place that’s not on a map.”

In context:

The line is taken from BUMP OF CHICKEN’s song, Totteoki no Uta (とっておきの歌). Japanese lyrics, its romaji and translation are available at jpopasia.com, and the song is on YouTube – unfortunately there is no official video of the song.

I’m just wondering how people create worlds of their own – whether it’s a visual or fictional world. What does it take for one to fashion a world out of nothingness: a desire to be a creator? a feeling of personal diaspora? a desire to escape?
